1972 SUZUKI T350 Rebel
This was the owners “Sunday best” bike, but, in time, became his every day transport and over 40,000 miles were clocked up. He contacted us with the hope that we could restore it to his 'Sunday best' once again!
The bike had a hard life, especially the engine, the owner told us that it had been rebuilt recently, but as pistons larger than .5mm could not be found it was only re-rung. We manage to source some new Wiseco piston kits at 1.00mm from a dealer in the US and after a re-bore and bead blast, the top end was like new! As for the bottom end, the crank was tired, suggesting a worn oil pump. This was rebuilt and a new pump and with the crank cases bead blasted and outer cover polished, new seals and gaskets it was ready for to put back into the freshly painted frame.
We re-chromed the original wheel rims and laced them with stainless butted spokes, the forks were also re-chromed. Using re-plated spindles, nuts and bolts the rolling chassis was complete. With just wiring issues to resolve it was time to fit the final chrome and paint work.
