One of our most recent restorations, this bike is to be used on a regular basis. We concentrated on making sure that the nucleus of the bike is “spot on” and that any items that this time round were re-used, are easily replaced at a later date. The engine covers were painted in Suzuki silver and the bike was returned to as close to standard as possible.
A special requirement for this age Suzuki is the drab olive passivate” plating which we had to replicate on various parts and fasteners. So with numerous seals, bearings and gaskets the engine was rebuilt. A new rear shock was used and the forks stripped and re-built.
All of the chassis parts were stove enamelled back to standard colours and all the fasteners zinc plated. Together with numerous new parts the bike is a great example of this race replica!
